There is an entire industry devoted to helping you join a company. Recruiters, coaches, resume writers, interview trainers, referral networks. For leaving one, there is almost nothing.
So resignations get improvised. Notice periods are misread. Buyouts are agreed to without arithmetic. Letters are written at 1am and cannot be unsent. Relieving letters go uncollected. Counteroffers are accepted for the wrong reasons. Good people leave badly, and it follows them for years.
TRC exists to close that gap. We treat resignation as what it actually is — a professional transaction with legal, financial, reputational and emotional consequences — and we help you execute it properly.

Basis of the claim
The claim is a specific one, so here are its terms, stated plainly enough to be tested.
On that definition TRC™ is India’s first dedicated, full-time resignation consultancy, and Palvinder Singh Bharjiya India’s first resignation consultant and strategist. Our market review located employer-side exit-management providers, outplacement firms, general career coaches and employment-law practices — and no dedicated, employee-side resignation consultancy. The method behind that review is published in full, so anyone can check it.
The engagement
Every engagement follows the same architecture, whether it runs for one week or three months.
Stage one
We separate exhaustion from a genuine career decision. You leave this stage knowing whether to resign, when, and on what terms — or that staying is the stronger move.
Stage two
Documents, finances, notice arithmetic, contractual obligations, references and the letter itself. Nothing improvised, nothing left to the day of.
Stage three
The conversation with your manager, the note to HR, the questions you will be asked and the answers you will give. Rehearsed before it happens.
Stage four
Handover, notice negotiation, full and final settlement, relieving and experience letters, and a transition plan for what comes next.
What we handle
From the first doubt to the relieving letter in your inbox. Individually, or as one managed engagement.
A structured, unemotional review of your situation before you act — including the case for staying.
Sequencing, timing, dependencies and a written plan for the whole exit, not just the letter.
Drafted to your situation, tone and company culture — accurate, courteous and impossible to misread.
How to structure a long notice period so it protects your reputation and your next move.
Scripts and strategy to shorten notice without burning the relationship or your paperwork.
What buyout actually costs, who should pay it, and how to model it before you commit.
What to say, in what order, to whom, and what to never put in writing.
A cold read of the counteroffer in front of you — and what it usually means six months later.
Leaving a strong, honest, defensible impression, even in a workplace that has treated you badly.
Getting the documents you are entitled to, on time, in the right form.
Toxic managers, bonds, retaliation, unpaid dues and situations that need careful handling.
CXO, VP and country-head level departures where reputation, notice and optics all carry weight.

Beyond the business
TRC is a commercial practice with a social purpose written into its structure, not bolted on for appearances.
Resignation in India carries a stigma it does not deserve. The Movement is our education, research and public-conversation arm: plain-language guides, published research on exit practices, and stories from professionals who left well. Awareness first, advocacy next.
What the Movement is doing →The people who most need help exiting a bad workplace are often the least able to pay for it. Free tools and affordable self-help resources are live now. Sponsored and subsidised consulting, funded by paid engagements and future corporate partners, is being built next.
Our commitment in detail →
For organisations
Exits are handled worst by the organisations that talk most about culture. TRC works with employers on responsible separation practice, manager education, transition workshops and CSR-aligned employee-transition programmes.
Corporate and CSR partnerships →Who you are working with
“In a world that teaches you how to get hired, almost nobody teaches you how to leave. I built this practice around that silence.”
Palvinder Singh Bharjiya is India’s first resignation consultant and strategist, with more than twenty years of professional experience across industries.
He founded TRC after watching capable professionals stay trapped in workplaces that were damaging them — afraid of contracts they had never read, of managers who traded on that fear, and of a culture that treats leaving as disloyalty. In the worst cases, the cost of that silence has been a life.

Completely. Every engagement is treated as confidential by default — your employer, your colleagues and your prospective employer will never hear from us unless you instruct us in writing to speak on your behalf.
Case details are only ever discussed in anonymised, unidentifiable form, and only for education or research.
No. The Resignation Consultant™ is a professional consultancy, not a law firm. We provide resignation consulting, strategy, communication guidance, process support, documentation support, negotiation preparation and exit planning — and we explain in plain language how notice periods, settlements and relieving letters normally work.
We do not provide legal advice, legal opinions or legal representation. Where a matter genuinely needs any of those, we say so plainly, and the work is carried out by independent employment-law practitioners rather than by us.
That is the best time to talk to us. A large share of our work ends with a clear, well-reasoned decision to stay — on better terms and with a plan. Resigning is the option, not the objective.
Start with the free resources and the readiness assessment. Neither requires payment or an account.
TRC Social Impact exists precisely for this: as the practice grows, sponsored and subsidised support is being built for people in genuine financial distress. If that is you, write to us and say so.
The practice is built around Indian employment norms today, which is where the deepest need is. The frameworks travel, and international engagements are taken selectively. TRC is being built for global expansion from the outset.
